Hello! its bean a while.....

Well Its been a while! Imust get better at this blogging...

Well here it is the finished article.......

Although it is not easy to see on this photo it is a blue gold stone set on the reticulated base.

This was my first piece where I went through the official design process as brief inspiration sketches and then finally making the piece.

Although im happy with the final product I don't think the official process is for me. I enjoy a more haphazard approach to the design process.

My recent inspiration has been the marriage of my 2 friends Chloe and Russ which inspired me to make some personalised wedding jewellery... Pictures to follow. I promise :-)

Well its been a few weeks and iv made some progress with project 1- (il call it my space project)

Heres a look at my design ideas I saved your eyes from the pages of doodles iv done ;-)

You cant see clearly but theres a reticulated backplate with bezel ready for stone setting with wire spiral design - These are going to need some serious filing but may have been better thinner one for the learning curve!

Next time.....hopefully the finished peice!!

***Introduction and project 1***

Hello!
This is all very new to me but just to give you some back ground I am currently attending my third jewellery workshop each lasting 10 weeks. So Iv so far made the key ring!, a stone set ring and a bangle.... pics to follow......

My next project is to get me into the design process and to make a stone set ring, not easy for someone who likes to tinker and see what happens.. so my starting point was space! attached are some of my inspiration

 

So the idea is to incorporate the spiral with stone set..... so im off to start designing
